Why I joined this network:
Always trying to expand, to reach far away, like those little circles going out from the center on the waters of a big pond.

Trees shedding its last bits of brown skin,
dead leafs falling down covering the ice,
with the first tickling cold kiss of a winter
traveling on tiptoes down your warm spine.

Man in an empty, cold and dark cathedral
feels like what felt a small grain of sand
all alone on a flat expanse of naked rock
surrounded by walls that are mountain high.

Imagine, lost away in the heart of a forest
looking for a door to escape is a child,
suppose it’s your soul instead that’s opening
a door…to another more darker night.

Winter’s coming and with it the company
of the echoes of all the summer laughs,
when alone, we didn’t felt that alone,
because open for a little of love was our heart.

Cold assaulted us, can’t stop the shivering
as we dream of getting a little warm,
it’s not the season cold that make us tremble,
but the cold feelings coming from winter’s man.

Some of us are like the trees peeling off
pieces of pain that falls down over our past,
no doors among us in the darkest forest
for you to open, escape, and be again alive.

I have my own cavernous and empty cathedral
to make me feel as little as a grain of sand,
I sit on a back pew trying to chase away silences
with the rasping voice of my pen…as I write.
Who am I?
A child that lost his world of promised smiles in a home which never was sweet, and going on thirty by the age of twelve. Started as a Navy Radio Operator, through combat Marines, graduating as a Mechanical and Electrical Engineer serving in the Merchant Navy which took me around the world several times (and that's a lot of horizon to cross!) Probably enabling me to say thank-you and please in more languages that is needed to know. Fall in love with the gentle Japan when Bushido was honored and the waters in the garden caressed the lotus flowers that hold butterflies. Writing for children by the Institute of Children Literature. Influenced by Pablo Neruda saying that he could write the saddest poem one night. By Marquez One hundred Years of Solitude and Orwell's 1984. Salvador Dalì could have painted my life.

Thanks a bunch, it is a long way from home, and it is good to have a little bit of literary family where one can hang on.
